GAS COMPANIES - BIG PROFIT

$9.9 BILLION dollars. That's last quarter's profit report from ExxonMobil. And just for some perspective, that's the largest quarterly profit ever earned by a US company. We're paying $3 a gallon as a result of hurricane damage, and the oil companies are laughing their way to the bank.

Thanks, jerks.

I think it's amazing that oil companies can make a profit at all in this country. When was the last time they were able to build a new refinery, or drill for oil in a new spot on American soil? I wish it was noted more clearly on the pumps for us consumers how much of our gas money was actually state and federal taxes. It still doesn't cost too much more than a gallon of milk, yet there's so much to do about refining, dealing with environmental issues, political pressure, etc. Happy motoring!
