I keep encountering situations where I have to take personality tests of some kind or another, and the results are generally the same. Consistency is good, I guess. Generally, I find them a little irritating because... well, because when I answer a question like, "do you find yourself more emotional or more logical?" it seems kind of silly to have the results say, "wow - you're very logical" when it's just repeating how I answered the specific question.

My friend Kristen recently took a personality test, and just for kicks I figured I'd complete it. As expected, the results were the same... but I did enjoy taking this test. Mainly because the structure and layout of the test (it uses Flash to power it) is refreshing. They had clever ways of having you answer questions, and I rather enjoyed that.

Anyhow, the results of the test tell me that I'm a free-wheeling leader.

I won't bore you with all the results, but here's a few interesting things you might not already know:

Although you're detail-oriented, this doesn't mean that you lose the big picture.

You tend to find beauty in form and efficiency, as opposed to finding it in broad-based, abstract concepts.

Because of this eagerness to pursue new experiences, you've learned a lot; your attention to detail means that you gain a great deal from your adventures.

Your acceptance of others leads you to be understanding of their life circumstances, even if you don't quite understand their emotional reactions to some things.

Engaging with others is a large part of how you live in the world, and most importantly, it plays a role in how you see yourself - you tend to learn a lot about yourself in situations where you are with other people.

AND:

Your open-mindedness about the world gives you a great perspective on things, but your lack of trust in others limits how close you can get with them. Try opening up to people a bit more without losing your healthy skepticism.
