Back in July, I posted a link about Dr. Dino's 58 tax evasion charges. After 2.5 hours of deliberation, a jury found Kent Hovind and his wife guilty of all charges, resulting in a maximum of 288 years for the Doc, and 225 years for his wife.

Kent Hovind, whose life's mission is to debunk evolution, says he and his employees are workers of God and therefore exempt from paying taxes.

How strange. Apparently, my wife has at least one similarily thinking individual in her family tree, and this person is constantly fleeing from the law because of tax-related charges. What a life. It seems stupid to risk going to jail over something as trivial as taxes.

Stranger yet, however, is the response from Christians who feel that the conviction of the Hovinds represents persecution of believers. A commenter on the article posted here:

This was Christian religion on trial here folks, I was there I saw, I heard how this case was a joke. This was just one of many more to come of cases against Churches, look out Churches. Shame on anyone that distanted their self from this family before and during this trial instead of supporting them, not agreeing with them but standing beside faithful, faithful servants of the Lord how have stood beside many of us through our trials and struggles.

CHRISTIANS open your eyes, our BIBlE says that the Christians will be pursecuted in the end times, well this is what happened today in that court room.
