FLEX TUBE != EXHAUST PIPE

Ugh. After spending about 6 hours in my garage working on an exhaust pipe, I came to the painful realization that flex tube is not a replacement for exhaust pipe. It doesn't seal in the air at all. After running the engine (it ran like crap... I need to wait until my head gasket set comes in before I run it again) and watching the exhaust gas dump out of the flex tube after the header, I realized that I'm going to have to spend a lot more time fixing my exhaust.
Ugh. It's no wonder exhaust work costs so much.
I also decided that I'm not going to run my engine again until I get a new gasket set for the head. Between the vacuum leaks and the gasoline spilling out from under the carb, it's probably good that I hold off and wait until those parts come in.
