ZOMBIES AND THE SOUL

It looks like some US scientists have created zombie dogs, which just sorts of screws with the definitions of life and death and the such.
If a dog can be revived after 3 hours of clinical death (no heartbeat, no brain activity, etc.), the possibility exists that the same procedures can be used on a human. This creates a problem for those that believe that the human spirit ascends into heaven to be with God at the moment of death. Does a person die... go to heaven, and then return to earth when their body is revived after clinical death? Or do folks have to redefine death?
