AUGUST TO DO LIST

It's the first Friday of the month, which means I'm coming up towards the first weekend of the month, and it's usually on the weekends that I can get any of my projects done. I think it's a good idea to write down a list of the things I'd like to get done, since I hear that "goal setting" is such a good idea. We'll see.
Ceiling Fans
We have two ceiling fans that both have problems. The family room ceiling fan is stuck in the on-at-full-blast position, on account of my 3-year old daughter jumping off the couch and grabbing the chain switch on the way down. The girls' bedroom fan capacitor blew out, evidenced by a humming in the fan in any of the positions except for "off."
The problems are unrelated, but they happened in the same day. Odd.
Clean the garage
I've got so much CRAP in my garage, I barely know how to get to anything. My wife and I actually started to clean out parts of my garage yesterday, and I feel like we actually made a dent in the workload. There's still over 3/4th of the garage that needs to get cleaned, though.
Work on the Datsun
I've got a spare radiator (two of them, actually) that I can use for my 510 radiator swap. I just need to drain the one I've got in the car right now, pull it out, swap in the new one, and fill it back up. That should do it. While I'm at it, a new radiator cap is probably a good idea.
I also need to finish welding up the exhaust pipe and fabricate a throttle linkage so I can actually drive the car.
Work on the Motorcycle
I picked up a 1981 Yamaha Exciter 185 for $100 this week (it's a project bike), and it came with a spare carb as the stock carb was disassembled and in poor condition. Unfortunately, the spare carb wasn't made for this motorcycle. Instead of dropping another $100 on a new carb, I think I'm going to try to make it work. It'll require a bit of cutting and welding, and maybe a liberal application of JB Weld, but we'll see.
Ant Farm
I think it's time to upgrade the ant habitat into something a little bigger. As it is now, every time I open the chamber to add water or bug for them to eat, a few crawl out and I have to quickly catch them to throw them back in. I want to build a new series of chambers to prevent me having to do that.
---
That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm sure there are more...
