Grieving Noah

83 words · May 25, 2026

The text says that God was grieved at the wickedness of mankind in Genesis 6, and I can’t help but wonder if, mixed into that grief, was the awareness that even the best person alive (Noah) didn’t bother to ask God if the boat could be made larger to accommodate more people.

Before you mention that God intended to completely wipe out wickedness, so nobody else could have been spared, please note that Noah’s family are among the wicked who did not perish.
